Defending the Raven

Bisexual. Married. Man. Open. Read On.

Didn’t fall off the face of the earth or get too swamped with work… Was just away on vacation in beautiful, sunny, and completley relaxing Mexico all of last week. SR and I spent a week at on e of the all-inclusive resorts that we bought a time share at last summer. It was EXACTLY what we both needed. A week away from it all. We pretty much spent our entire time sitting by the pool and relaxing. The best part of it was that it was a promotional week as part of buying the time share so the trip and the airfare was pretty much free. We spent some money on using their awesome spa, but when the trip cost nothing who cares. It was really great. We actually ended up meeting a really nice and cool couple about our age. It was fun to have some people to hang out with and meet for drinks after dinner though I suspect that SR would have liked a little more alone time just the two of us. It’s funny because we don’t usually meet people on vacation. We’re kinda the types that like to keep to ourselves and just do our own thing. We’ll chat with people and such, but not looking to make new friends. This was the first time where that wasn’t the case. It was kinda nice. Wish there was more to report, but it wasn’t that kind of resort. 😉 Though to be honest there were times when I was chatting with the guy that I got the vibe that he was fishing for something. Though it was also pretty clear I’d have to drop the bi side of me entirely — not opposed to that under certain circumstances.

The trip was fantastic, but honestly, it was too short. We could have spent a whole other week there (and considering how work is right now that would have been great). A week was far too short for what we needed right now. Luckily, the early part of the week did go slowly so we could enjoy it, but once Saturday rolled around it was non-stop until this morning. Not the preferred way of easing back into work mode.

Hopefully I’ll get back to some regular posting soon. Gotta catch up on work first. UGH!

  1. Wow, it sounds like you had a great time! We all need that from time to time.

Was wondering what happened to you since you didn’t post since July4th. I feared a nasty fire-cracker incident. 🙂

    Welcome back!
