Happy 4th!

Me and B on the dock

As we usually do every year we spent the 4th at my parents’ cottage. We normally spend lots of weekends in the summer there because… well it’s on a lake and the beer is free. We go up for the 4th because my parents have a party every year and it’s one of those family things we actually love to do. My parents have a very tight knit group of friends that I grew up with and many of them feel like second and third and fourth sets of parents. Plus the lake has this oddly great tradition of a boat parade at 11:00 a.m. on July 4th. Also, you’ll never see a better display of amatuer fireworks throughout the weekend. It’s truly quite impressive. I’ve decided to include some photos. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.
