Defending the Raven

Bisexual. Married. Man. Open. Read On.

I have a casual, primarily entertainment based obsession with reading my horoscope every day. I actually read two different ones, and 90% of the time they are pretty similar in tone. But the times when they don’t… Anyway, I’m tangenting…

This was one of my horoscopes for the day:

This is a good day for widening your social circle, Mark. Sometimes you tend to spend time with the same people week after week. Although you have some close friendships, you can become too close! You might benefit from being around some new people for a change. Invite an acquaintance out to dinner and get to know them better. You’ll be stimulated by some fresh conversation and some new ideas.

Very interesting considering my potential plans for the evening. I don’t want to say more than that, but I’ll keep y’all posted.

Just read the 2nd horoscope I follow:

You will be rather restless today and you won’t be happy until you do something about it. You can, if you wish, just sit there and complain but that won’t change a thing, except maybe lose you a few friends. It’s up to you to start the ball rolling, so get up and do something and you won’t be restless for long.

Oddly it fits in quite well too. Cosmic karma or complete bunk?

  1. Krma. Gotta be karma.
    Here’s mine:
“You may be a little sensitive today but, if you reach out with affection, understanding and compassion, you will get along well with everyone who counts.
A self-improvement project will pay huge rewards. “

…even more hiilarious when you realize that Mr. Aloof has been helping me w/ home projects, and will be by again this weekend to help some more…. 😉

  2. That is fantastic! My philosophy about horoscopes is that they might not tell you how your day is gonna be, but they can guide you to have the kinda day it says you will or work against the kind it says it will be if it’s bad.
